MM: House Locations
When you first start your file you will be asked which property you want your main house to be located on. There are three choices - Ocean, River, or Town. Don't worry, once you have made enough money you can buy the other lands that you have chosen and relocate your house if you wish.
Town: This land is quite close to people in town, but it is small so you may need to buy more land to place a chicken coop, barn, and grow crops
River: Although bigger than the town, it is still small. The land is pretty fertile and if you are going for crops, this is the best place.
Ocean: This is the biggest plot of land, although it is far away from most of the shops. The blacksmiths, workshop, and Spring Farm is nearby though. This is the best place for raising animals and there is some room left for crops, but the land isn't very fertile.
